QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Management, or a related field.

Additional certifications in textile technology, quality management, or machinery operation are a plus.

Experience:

6+ years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, preferably in the textile, knitting, or weaving industry.

At least 2-3 years in a supervisory or management role, with hands-on experience in managing production teams.

Strong knowledge of knitting and weaving techniques, machinery, and production processes.

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced Section Manager for our Knitting and Weaving department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of the knitting and weaving sections in the production facility. This includes optimizing the production process, ensuring quality standards, managing a team, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:

Production Management:

• Supervise and manage the daily operations of the knitting and weaving sections to meet production targets and timelines.
• Ensure that all machines and equipment are operated efficiently and safely to minimize downtime.
• Monitor production rates, quality levels, and machine performance to ensure the achievement of department goals.
• Plan and schedule production shifts, ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet production demands.

Team Leadership & Development:

• Lead, train, and motivate a team of operators and technicians to achieve optimal performance.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, identify training needs, and provide coaching to team members to foster growth and development.
• Ensure that all team members adhere to safety standards, work processes, and company policies.

Quality Control:

• Oversee the quality of knitted and woven products, ensuring they meet company specifications and customer requirements.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of finished products to detect defects or inconsistencies.
• Implement corrective actions as needed and work closely with the quality assurance team to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Maintenance & Equipment Management:

• Ensure all knitting and weaving machinery is properly maintained and in good working order.
• Work closely with the maintenance team to schedule regular maintenance and address any equipment breakdowns quickly to minimize production downtime.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving any operational issues related to machinery or production processes.

Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement:

• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
• Analyze production data and recommend adjustments to improve machine utilization, production flow, and product output.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging team members to suggest process enhancements.

Inventory and Materials Management:

• Monitor the availability of raw materials and supplies needed for knitting and weaving production.
• Coordinate with the procurement and warehouse teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials to the production floor.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of raw materials and finished goods in accordance with safety and quality standards.

Health, Safety, and Compliance:

• Ensure that all safety guidelines and procedures are followed by the team to create a safe working environment.
• Regularly conduct safety audits and training sessions for team members.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and environmental standards.

Reporting & Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of production activities, machine performance, quality control checks, and maintenance activities.
• Prepare regular reports on section performance, production output, and any issues or improvements to the Production Manager or senior management.
