QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • MBA or a master’s degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Additional certifications or knowledge in medical equipment and healthcare industry standards (e.g., FDA regulations, CE marking) are preferred.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, with at least 2 years in the medical equipment or healthcare industry.
  • Proven track record of driving product sales, managing product lifecycles, and working with cross-functional teams in a sales-driven environment.
  • Experience with the sales process in the medical or healthcare industry, including knowledge of key customers (e.g., hospitals, clinics, distributors).
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance and quality standards in the medical equipment industry.

JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Product Manager for our medical equipment division. The ideal candidate will manage the lifecycle of our medical products from development to sales, ensuring that products meet market needs and sales goals. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, R&D, and operations, to drive the growth of our product portfolio in the medical equipment sector.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:

Product Strategy & Roadmap:

Develop and implement product strategies that align with market trends, customer needs, and the company’s business objectives in the medical equipment industry.

Collaborate with R&D and marketing teams to create product roadmaps, ensuring timely product launches and continuous product improvements.

Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities, market gaps, and customer preferences for medical products.

Sales & Marketing Support:

Work closely with the sales team to develop sales strategies and tactics for promoting and selling medical products.

Create sales materials, product presentations, and training tools to educate the sales team on product features, benefits, and key selling points.

Provide sales support by answering product-related questions, handling objections, and offering solutions to customers.

Product Launch & Lifecycle Management:

Lead cross-functional teams in the successful launch of new medical products, ensuring all departments are aligned on product goals and timelines.

Oversee the lifecycle of existing products, monitoring their performance in the market and identifying areas for improvement or enhancement.

Monitor product performance, track sales data, and adjust marketing and sales strategies to meet targets and address any challenges.

Customer Focus:

Engage directly with healthcare professionals, hospitals, clinics, and distributors to gather customer feedback and insights.

Analyze customer needs and preferences to drive product modifications or new product developments.

Stay updated on healthcare industry trends, medical advancements, and regulatory changes to inform product development and sales strategies.

Sales Targets & Reporting:

Define sales targets for each product and work with the sales team to ensure objectives are met or exceeded.

Track and report on product sales performance, identifying challenges and opportunities to drive growth.

Prepare and present regular product performance reports to senior management, offering strategic recommendations based on insights gathered.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

Work closely with marketing to create targeted campaigns for specific products, ensuring alignment between product positioning and market messaging.

Collaborate with the supply chain and operations teams to ensure adequate product availability and effective inventory management.

Ensure all product-related activities, including pricing, packaging, and promotional campaigns, are compliant with industry regulations and standards.

Regulatory Compliance & Quality Control:

Ensure that products meet all regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, ISO, CE) and quality standards before and after launch.

Stay updated on relevant regulations and certifications for medical products, ensuring compliance in all markets where the products are sold.
