QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent. A technical diploma or degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field is a plus.

Experience:

• 6+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in the healthcare, medical, or tapes/bandages industry.
• Proven experience in managing production teams and overseeing day-to-day operations.
• Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, and safety standards.

JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for an experienced Floor Manager to oversee the daily operations on the production floor for tapes and bandages manufacturing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth production operations, managing team performance, and maintaining quality control standards to meet production targets. You will also ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational efficiency.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:

Production Floor Management:

• Supervise daily operations on the production floor, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and on time.
• Oversee the manufacturing processes of tapes and bandages, ensuring quality standards and production targets are met.
• Monitor and coordinate the flow of materials and products on the floor to avoid delays and optimize production schedules.

Team Leadership & Supervision:

• Manage and lead a team of production workers, including setting performance expectations, providing guidance, and offering support.
• Conduct regular team meetings to ensure alignment on production targets, quality standards, and safety protocols.
• Address any performance or behavior issues on the floor and escalate them when necessary.

Quality Control & Compliance:

• Ensure adherence to quality control standards for tapes and bandages, inspecting finished products for defects and ensuring they meet company specifications.
• Conduct regular quality audits and inspections to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations on the production floor.

Inventory Management:

• Monitor raw materials, equipment, and finished products to ensure inventory levels are sufficient and production can proceed without delays.
• Coordinate with the warehouse and procurement teams to reorder materials as necessary.

Maintenance and Equipment Handling:

• Ensure all machinery and equipment on the production floor are in proper working condition. Arrange for maintenance and repairs when required.
• Troubleshoot minor mechanical and operational issues on the floor to minimize downtime.

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, reduce waste, and increase overall productivity on the floor.
• Implement best practices in production techniques, work processes, and team management.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring team members are actively engaged in identifying solutions.

Reporting and Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of production, machine downtime, quality checks, and employee performance.
• Report any production issues, delays, or quality concerns to the Production Manager or senior management.
• Ensure proper documentation for compliance with industry standards and regulations.
